Role Purpose
The HR Assistant will be responsible for delivering comprehensive professional Human Resource Services in line with the HR Strategy. They will provide administrative support to the HR function and first line query resolution support to internal customers, ensuring process efficiency and effectiveness, and excellent customer service for all HR related matters.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide HR support on day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
2. Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, job descriptions, training, grievances, performance evaluations, surveys, etc.)
3. Manage employee benefits and requests including complaints and grievances
4. Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
5. Support the recruitment process including interview scheduling and onboarding
6. Management of outsourced staff in liaison with plant teams.
7. Provide other administrative support to the plant as required.
8. Submit accurate HR reports that are analyzed with useful HR metrics.
Skills & Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or any other related discipline.
2. Hands-on experience with HRIS or HRMS
3. 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
4. Knowledge of the Kenyan labour laws
5. Good presentation and communication Skills
6. Good Planning and Organization skills
