Nova Pioneer is seeking an exceptional English/Literature Teacher to join our team at Eldoret Girls High School, starting in January 2024. This position is open to candidates with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. As an English/Literature Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional 21st-century learning experience to our students.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English/Literature to students.
Foster positive and professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Develop and review lesson plans in collaboration with the Learning Design Team.
Create an engaging and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Inspire a passion for learning and academic excellence among students.
Provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support student growth.
Ensure students achieve content mastery and meet academic standards.
Utilize interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
Set ambitious goals for students and provide effective feedback.
Establish consistent rewards and consequences for student behavior.
Meet the goals of a rapidly-growing organization.
Support behavior interventions and school-wide programs.
Maintain accurate academic data and communicate student progress to families and stakeholders.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and student enrichment programs.
Fulfill duties as assigned by the Manager.
About You

Skills and Qualifications:

Possession of a TSC certificate.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, with qualification to teach two subjects. Minimum grade of C+ in English/Literature.
Minimum grade of C+ in KCSE.
1-2 years of teaching experience.
Proficiency in technology tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adaptability and openness to change.
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
Passion for organizational culture and transforming the lives of African youth.
Desire to develop leadership skills.
