Voltaic Energy Systems Limited is a start-up engineering company in Nairobi with operations in the whole of Kenya. We are looking to hire a motivated Front Sales representative cum Assistant to be based in Kisumu. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact and consult with customers to guide them through the different products.
  • Represent the company for the sale of the products in a defined sales area
  • Meet sales targets consistently.
  • Complete quotes, return email/voicemail, other administrative functions, to include running credit applications and processing transaction paperwork.
  • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all products in the company.
  • Create the best buying experience to make lifelong customer retention.
  • Offer excellent customer experience both physically and through online engagements
  • Follow up with existing and potential customers to generate leads and referrals.
  • Stay on top of market trends and current products in the market
  • Cold calling on customers, able to follow up on leads
  • Flexible work schedule to be in office, out selling, demoing equipment as needed
  • Preparation of proper and accurate invoices.
  • Confirm orders from the sales team and issue requests to Logistics.
  • Prepare delivery paperwork as per procedures.
  • Reporting: Daily| Weekly| Monthly on orders progress, stock availability and condition.
  • Custodian of customer files including compliance to data privacy and safeguard against unauthorized use and/or distribution.

Key Qualifications:

  • Business Degree/diploma in Sales and Marketing or in a related field
  • Knowledge of Solar panels, generators, electricity is an added advantage 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience preferably in the engineering industry
  • Knowledge of tendering and tender submission processes will be an added advantage
  • Experience in digital marketing and/or email marketing will be an added advantage
  • Excellent Sales Skills and techniques
  • Demonstrate an excellent sales track record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and self-motivation skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.
