Terms of Service:- Permanent and Pensionable
- This is the entry and training grade for diploma holders in livestock production/ science courses. Officers at this level will be deployed at the ward or sub county level.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assisting in organizing and executing livestock production extension activities including farm visits and farmer trainings; Field Days and Agricultural shows
- May be deployed as subject matter specialists in fields such as poultry, sheep & goats, apiculture and dairy production
- Collect and collating livestock data and information
- Participating in collaborative research activities; :
- Performing any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment;
For appointment to this post, a candidate must have:-
- Kenyan Citizenship
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines; – Animal Health and Production; Animal Husbandry, Dairy Science and Technology, Animal Production Range Management or Natural Resource Management and any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in computer Applications from a recognized institution.
