1.Laboratory Technologist Job

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collects, processes, and handles blood or other biological specimen according to established procedures, instruct patients in the proper collection of samples
• Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and analysis such as assigned conditions.
• Quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis of body fluids e.g. urine, blood, and spinal fluids, perform blood counts using a microscope
• Conduct blood tests for transfusion purposes. It may drain blood from the patient’s fingers, ear lobes, or vein observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples
• Develop or maintain cells, and tissue cultures for testing purposes, as appropriate isolates and
  identifies specimens using advanced laboratory techniques
• Performs quality control on test results ensuring validity and accuracy
• Performs Calibri and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure achievement to
  establish standards of accuracy
• Keeps records and reports on results according to established procedure
• Practices safety environment and infectious control methods
• Performs muscle Ness job-related duties as assigned
• Do weekly malaria reports and monthly laboratory reports

2.Clinical Officer Job

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform medical consultations
• Provide treatment and guidance to patients as per the clinical guidelines and protocol adopted by
  the hospital
• Perform ward rounds and manage patients in the wards in consultation with the clinical team
  and specialists within our panel
• Perform minor procedures as per training skills
• Document all aspects of patient care and maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Ensure that all patient’s data and information are handled with confidentiality
• Ensure 24-hour coverage of the hospital by a clinician by participating in the development of
  comprehensive monthly duty coverage posters
• Assist in the formulation and review of relevant clinical guidelines, protocol, and procedures
• Coordinates, participates, and present in continuous medical education (CMC) events
• Participate in clinical auth
• Assist in the orientation of new clinicians, working hand in hand with the immediate supervisor
• Do weekly and monthly health reports to MOH
• Do good over-counter prescriptions and sales

P4Light Medical Centre is searching for a talented and qualified optometrist to join their growing practice. As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough routine eye inspections.
• Identify the patient’s visual alertness, field of vision and hand-eye coordination.
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
• Maintain accurate medical files for all patients.
• Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques.
• Identify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes.
• Record all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions.

Requirements

• Two years’ work experience
• Able to do refraction of all types
• Able to run an eye clinic and optical
• Able to glaze (all types of frames and lenses)
• Able to do primary eye diagnosis management
